DJ Big 6 was introduced to entertainment through his Dad. He sang in the church and school choir and performed in elementary school talent shows as a child. DJ Big 6’s DJ career started at his high school graduation party in 1992. His DJing continued to increase while attaining his degree at The University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN. He DJed numerous fraternities, sororities, & organizations while at UT. Also while in college, he ran the East Tennessee Record Pool where he made connections with record labels such as: Death Row, So So Def, Def Jam, No Limit, Columbia, Sony, Loud, Interscope, Slip N Slide, Arista, Bad Boy, LaFace, & many others. In 1997, he promoted for P. Diddy’s “No Way Out” Tour. As a DJ, he broken several artist such as Master P, Trick Daddy, & Lil Jon. In the 2000’s, he started Big 6 Productions LLC where he promoted and broke his own artist. 2 Deep had a regional hit single “Ridin’ In My Cadillac” where they opened for Nappy Roots, Ludacris, Lil Jon, Cee Lo Green & Juvenile. DJ Big 6 continues to DJ weddings receptions, parties, and DJ corporate events all over North & South Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, & Georgia. Corporate events include: Comcast Christmas Party, Alpha Kappa Alpha Debutante Ball, Las Amigas Valentines Ball, National Society of Black Engineers Conference, & Theta Chi Spring Formal. DJ Big 6 also offers videography services. His video work has been featured on the Nicki Minaj documentary shown on Logo and E! TV. In 2015 he was nominated SCM Awards Best Mixtape DJ. To this day he continues to build his brand via social media and spinning on various internet radio stations. He is a member of the Empire DJs and the Nerve DJs. His DJ influences include: DJ Jazzy Jeff, Kid Capri, Jam Master Jay, DJ Red Alert, Funk Master Flex, DJ Nabs, DJ Jelly, DJ Sterl The Pearl, Greg Street, DJ Uncle Al, DJ AP, & Jam Pony Express.
